The Miami and Orlando COVID Response & Relief Business Programs are operated by Florida State Minority Supplier Development Council and is funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce Minority Business Development Agency’s Coronavirus Response and Relief Award.
The FSMSDC was founded in 1975 by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Miami Progress Foundation for the purpose of fostering the development of minority-owned businesses throughout Florida. Central to our mission is the principle that networks and relationships among and between minority businesses and corporate and government buyers build businesses.
The Mission of the Florida State Minority Supplier Development Council is to link Corporate and Government Members with Minority Business Enterprises to foster equity in business.
An MBE is a Minority Business Enterprise. MBEs are companies owned by United States citizens who are Asian, Black, Hispanic or Native American. Ownership by minority individuals means the business is at least 51% owned by such individuals.
The FSMSDC Supplier Diversity Roundtable meets regularly to discuss best practices in supplier diversity, professional development for diversity and procurement professionals and trends in supplier diversity. At the meetings, attendees have an opportunity to meet with your peers to share insights in supplier diversity.

The Business Expo is the largest minority business event in Florida. It brings together minority entrepreneurs, large corporations and government agencies to create new relationships, ventures and opportunities for growth. The Business Expo features 1-on-1 business appointments with buyers, power-packed workshops, MasterClasses, a Supplier Diversity Roundtable, the Youth Entrepreneur Workshop and much more.
This event brings together Florida’s business community for an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of minority-owned businesses and professionals that are shaping the future of the State of Florida. Awards presented include Local & National Corporations of the Year, MBE Suppliers of the Year, Advocate of the Year, Buyer of the Year, President’s Rising Star Award, Crystal Award and the Doing Well While Doing Good® Humanitarian Award.
This is The Council's annual B2B Matchmaker event. It successfully connects minority business owners, corporate members and government buying agencies.
There are hundreds of 1-on-1 appointments with corporate and government buyers. The event also includes session for learning best practices from peers who have gained great success within the network and gain knowledge to grow your business.
