Subscription Services

Florida State Minority Supplier Development Council (FSMSDC) provides additional services to out-of-network MBEs that have a current certification with any affiliated regional council of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). Below are the details and benefits relating to Subscription Services.

What Are Subscription Services?

The Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Subscription Services are provided to those certified MBEs who wish to advance themselves through receiving services over and above basic certification from their certifying council. It is an add-on that provides a multitude of value-added services for MBEs. The Subscription allows out-of-network MBEs to stay informed about resources and opportunities throughout the Florida marketplace. MBEs are not required to purchase the Subscription Services. Eligible subscribers will receive a subscription acknowledgement letter.
Subscription - Eligibility

Eligibility

To qualify for subscription services, your company must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be an actively certified MBE within the National Minority Supplier Development Council network.
  • Must be in good financial standing with your home certifying council at the time of the subscription service request.
  • Must be at least 60 days away from your home certification expiration date when applying for subscription services.

  • Access to the FSMSDC’s local corporate members
  • Automatic registration to receive Weekly Things You Should Know™ (TYSK) E-Newsletter for Council updates and events
  • Available office space for scheduled meetings and teleconferencing access
  • Eligible to participate in One-on-One Meetings & Matchmaking Events with Corporate Members & MBEs
  • Access to business consulting services where specific contract and financing opportunities exist
  • Opportunity to participate in the Roundtable Program – a Forum for MBE CEOs to discuss business
  • Ability to showcase your business at the annual business expo, quarterly meetings, and feature segments in newsletters
  • RFPs and Business Leads/Alerts from Corporate Members
  • Access to educational programs and scholarships

Gross sales are up to $1 million

Subscription Services Period

The subscription service period will be equivalent to the certification period with your home affiliate council. For example, if Company X is certified in Georgia with Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSDC) from January 30, 2021 until January 30, 2022, then the subscription expiration date in Florida with FSMSDC will also expire on the same date as the GMSDC certificate — January 30, 2022.

Annual Renewal

Subscriptions run concurrently with the certification of your home council. Therefore, any subscription with FSMSDC will expire at the same time as your home council certification. Once you recertify with your home council, subscriptions with FSMSDC (and any other regional affiliate) can be renewed. All MBEs are welcome to subscribe to the service at any time. However, any NMSDC-certified MBE requesting subscription services within 60 days of their certification expiring at their home certifying will be asked to withhold their request until recertification with their home council is completed.

Subscription Services are for Certified MBEs of the FSMSDC or an Affiliate Council of the NMSDC. Please note that the Subscription Fees are separate from the Certification & Recertification Fees.
